Nexus Packaging is delighted to announce that we have achieved United Nations certification of our 5 litre Compaq Jerrycans with the Plastic Closures 38mm cap.
The UN qualification involved drop testing our bottles after 48 hours chilling, filled with a glycol/water mix at minus 18 degrees, pressure testing and top load compression testing. Our manufacturing team achieved this by optimising the bottle neck dimensions, wall thicknesses, material distribution and weld areas.
Our certificate is for UN Packing Group II (PG II) and for liquids up to a specific gravity of 1.4.
We understand that we are the first blow moulder to have achieved this certification with the Plastic Closures cap. This includes EPE, IHS and Vented wadding materials.
